Star Throwers - Water Charity
With millions of children dying every year it's difficult not to feel overwhelmed by the extent of the need.
However if everyone in the world who has access to clean water were to provide it for just one other person the problem would be solved.
In his book The Star Thrower, Lorans Eisley mentions the day when he was walking along the beach after a storm, thousands of Starfish had been washed up.
He noticed a boy picking them up and throwing them back into the ocean, one by one.
When Lorens asked him why, the boy said, "If I don't they'll die." "But how can saving so few make a difference when so many are doomed?" asked the writer.
The little boy picked up another Starfish threw it back into the ocean and said "Its gonna make a lot of difference to that one."
